Honoring the contributions of Salt River Bushmasters Post 114 and veterans across the United States, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) will host the Salt River Veterans Pow Wow in 2012. The exciting event will showcase the rich culture and heritage of Native American communities throughout the country. Traditional art, dance, music and dress will inspire visitors.


Drum and dance competitions will be held throughout the Salt River Veterans Pow Wow. Some of the most talented traditional dancers in the world will compete for more than $50,000 in cash and prizes.

To Attend

While attending the Salt River Pow Wow, experience the Talking Stick Entertainment District in its entirety. Take in a round of golf at the Talking Stick Golf Club, a championship-caliber golf layout managed by Troon Golf. Two courses – a North and South – are sure to test the skills of golfers at all levels. The North Course is links-style through grasslands, while the South Course is more traditional and lined with trees.

No trip is complete without shopping and Talking Stick Entertainment District has plenty of options. Visit the Pavilions at Talking Stick, a 136-acre power center with more than 1 million square feet of retail space. Notable stores include Famous Footwear, Sports Authority, Toys R Us and Target. The center also features numerous dining options such as Filbertos, Dennys, Sweet Tomatoes and 5 & Dinner.
